Gettin Ready...
I leave for college in a month. I'm very excited and a little nervous. I'm realizing that we're always preparing for something. For me its college, for my family its the new school year and my leaving for a few months. For my best friend its a move to Boston, for another best friend its a mission. We all have different preparation techniques and different reasons we're preparing. "... this life is the time to prepare to meet God." (Alma 34:32) We can prepare for all sorts of things but the ultimate goal is that we return to "meet God". I hope and pray that as I prepare for college I will also make those decisions that will allow me to be confident in the presence of my God.

My mom said something to me awhile back and I was surprised at the way it's just stuck with me. She said "we are most intimidated by those who already appear to have the qualities we are working to possess." The people who most initimidate me are those who I wish I were more like. I think the thing that I personally have to remember is that no one is perfect and generally the people who most intimidate me are the people who are most intimidated by me. It's way to early for me to be up so i'm off. For anyone reading... remember you're worth something.

Wow so this is neat...
My mom recently got a "blogspot" and so I decided I'd finally get one too.
I thought about the millions of people who must have blogs and how many people actually read everyone else's. I'm just adding my voice to the thousands of others who want someone to hear. I think this is the new form of journaling. Rather than in a quiet little notebook we've begun to write in places that if someone were truly interested they could read what we have to say.
It still makes me happy to finally have one of these.
To those who decide to read, thanks, and enjoy.
